How to clean your grinder
A simple routine that keeps threads smooth and teeth cutting cleanly.
Resin builds up on every grinder. Left alone, it makes lids stick, threads grind and teeth drag instead of cut. A few minutes of care brings the tool back to how it felt on day one.
Quick clean (weekly)
- Empty the dish and tap out loose material over a clean surface
- Brush the teeth and chamber with a dry, soft brush
- Wipe the threads and closing faces with a dry cloth
Deep clean (when it starts to stick)
- Take the grinder fully apart
- Place the pieces in the freezer for 30–60 minutes so resin turns brittle, then brush it away
- For stubborn build-up, soak parts in isopropyl alcohol, then scrub gently with a soft brush
- Rinse with warm water and let every part dry completely before reassembling
